   岳麓历史时光中延续至今的两种文化即为书院文化与酒吧文化，它们是岳麓人的生活部分,密不可分，俨然已成为岳麓的文化烙印。 我们从书院文化中提取灵感，通过将岳麓书院用现代的语言演释为艺术装置的手法诠释设计，将岳麓书院的讲学、休闲、藏书等元 素结合到酒店空间概念和艺术品中，使客人感受到回归、团聚、放松、静谧的文化气息，诠释岳麓书院“亭台、楼阁相望、山水相 融”书院特色，力求体现湖湘文化之独特精髓。
   In the history of Yuelu,there are two types of culture pass down till tody,namely,academy culture and bar culture,both of which have become an inseparable part in Yuelu people’s life.We draw inspiration from the academy culture and interpret the design of Yuelu Academy as an art installation in modern language.Combining the lecturing, leisure, book collection and other elements of Yuelu Academy into the hotel space concept and Artwork, the guests can feel the cultural atmosphere of return, reunion, relaxation and tranquility, and interpret the characteristics of Yuelu Academy "pavilions, 
pavilions facing each other, and the integration of mountains and rivers", so as to embody the unique essence of Huxiang culture.
